The Lake Nasser area has a desert climate which is
neither too dry nor too humid. rain can be expected about once
a year, lasting only a few minutes. during the summer months the
temperature can climb up to 45'c, however, the huge masses of water
reduce the temperature on the lake by several degrees. during the
winter months it can be a little windy, but usually not more than a
few hours a day. |

there are two fishing seasons from October till end of January and from
February through to July
from October till February the lake is at its highest level and Nile
perch are found in deeper water . they get ready for spawning in January
and February , so during those months you can expect to catch Nile perch weighing up to200 Ibs .they are mostly caught trolling over underwater promontories and sunken islands
the best time to enjoy shore fishing and fly fishing is from march to
July, as the tilapia, the Nile perch's principle prey is spawning and producing a lot of fish in shallow water .you can expect to catch
Nile perch weighing between 15 to 30 Ibs .
